That's like asking a homeless person how to buy a house. I've been working on my label for a little while now, and I learn something new every day. If I had tried to launch it 2 years ago, it would have failed miserably. So seriously, go to your local bookstore, and pick up 2 or 3 books that deal with starting up independant record labels. One single book will not have everything you need, and I can guarentee, if you get 2 or 3 different books, some of the information will be repeated. Get out and meet some of the people that run small labels and ask them questions.. you can probably find alot of label owners on the internet.
Good luck!

Actually, I wouldn't have given the advice except that it is exactly what I have done already..so it's more a road map than advice. There is certianly no harm in educating yourself further though....and there's allways more than one way to get anywhere
