Talk about the music biz - marketing, promotions, contract law, copyright etc...

Gee...what about Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Country, all commercial payin gigs but they get no love on your forum here...With the exception of country I've made money playin all the others. MPC's are not just for "beat" oriented music.

The Hiphop State of this moments is like this... Thats just like, everything is URBAN now... all party's URBAN DANCE, etc etc..

The Commercial Scene is abusing the Word: HIPHOP.

The Day Master P started that damn Bling era (i really dont care who started it) HIPHOP was divided into: HIPHOP/RAP & Commercial Bling cRAP.

The Commercial Scene saw Rappers made major dooh with that Bling ish! and took it to a new stage. And Now... .we turn on our TV and find the word "PIMP" more than actually music. Its Sad...

I wrote Hip-pop is false, not Hip-Hop is false. Hip-pop, meaning popular Hip-Hop aka Rap.

So you're saying you're a pedophile?
And how did I go into detail about her coochie? I was just saying I don't have a problem getting laid. This discussion is over as far as I'm concerned. I can't even believe that you actually said "aint no P---y like new P---y." Damn you're one stupid MF.

Maybe if you ever grow up and become men, you'll experience a meaningful relationship, and raise a family. Some day I hope that you understand what life is all about.
This culture and music had great potential, but every one of you with no respect for women, self, or culture... I'm not sure anymore. Oh well, keep selling out, and screw lots of 16 year olds (Like R Kelly) and make lots of money, and continue to give our culture a bad image and have fun! :D

i just want to put my 2 cents on this subject matter...

the RAP music industry is a disgusting cesspool full of pieces of shit & infectious germs. and to be honest with everyone, the person who started this thread is right. they have now discovered a formula to brainwash the public because the public is scared to think outside the box (you remember the way PE or NWA made you feel when u first heard them?)

i'm from the south & back before HIP HOP came into existence down here below the mason dixon line in 1980 something, we had to listen to alot of rock, pop, etc. now here it is 2006. i've seen how busta rhymes (circa 1990's) evolve to the trunk platinum chain wearing, gun bustin busta we see today! the people who run OUR culture are the record company execs. they are the ones that dictate what's hot, what we need to hear on the radio "programs". just so happen, that most of everything you hear on the radio & see in the video are negative depictions of our culture. and it poisons our community. i will honestly admit, sounding hypocritical, but some of that bullshit sounds good (i.e. what do you think about Mobb Deep or TI?) think about the blaxploitation era. it's no different.

i think the problem is, is that we don't have enough "conscious" or innovative mc's on MAINSTREAM RADIO or VIDEO to balance out the music. everything sounds redundant nowadays. bitches, cars, clothes, money, guns, drugs, killing, etc. there's plenty of other subject matters that can be reached but these record execs got the emcees tongues on lock.

its always the case in which some of the best "conscious" or intellectual mc's are underrated. take for instance, goodie mob, dead prez, rass kass or pharoah monch. each from their respective coast but receive the recognition. why? because these mc's have the greatest potential to awaken the general public because they're brainwashed. music is a subconscious thing, so what better way to enslave the people other than music.

i'm sorry about my dribble but i had to vent. HIP HOP in its purest state is a high from cocaine. it's raw & uncut. when you add the bullshit (drugs, sex & violence), you get RAP. we have to realize that this is HIP HOP evolution from those who control it (it's certainly not us for now). we didn't control crack when it came to the ghettos. higher powers did. as so is the state of the hip hop culture.

although i'm from the place where CRUNK was spawned, I LOVE HIP HOP. and it's currently on life support. RAP is alive and well. think about it.
just my .02 cents.
peace.
