I never emailed a beat to anyone. My boy Sarengeti is signed on a big indie label, and wants me to send him some beats. How do you guys send the files? I tried just attaching it but the files are to big. Thanks in advance!!!

Upload it to a temporary upload server like yousendit.com, megaupload.com, transferbigfiles.com, sendspace.com, rapidshare.de etc, then email the link. You could either upload individual songs, or you could do a whole bunch of songs at once by putting them all into a single .zip or .rar file, and then upload that. I'm assuming you trust this person cuz they could potentially get away with jacking a bunch of your sh*t without paying if you don't have tags on the beats

I'm giving them to him. We came up together. If he did use them I wouldn't ask for money anyway.

yea definately... if youre serious about this, you should probably never use mp3s. at first i just sent mp3s cos it was faster and easier, but if you can you should try and send the wav.

unless of course youre just shooting forth and back rough drafts then i usually just use a mp3

There's some truth in this- it's funny how people forget how they started when they start getting bigger....not sayin' your friend would screw you over, but it's happened a thousand times, and will happen a thousand times more

I used to use hosters like rapidshare, zshare etc...since I am working on my EP and got a few placements I set up an account at apple's mobileme...generally you just buy webspace but the advantage is that you can share those files...
so when i upload a ZIP and send it to you, you will see a "download" button in your email, and as soon as you click on it you start downloading the file....that much more comfortable for people that receive the file as they dont have to wait till they can download or stuff like that...mobileme is the shit-1
