I've heard that PMPworldwide is a great spot to promote and sell beats.
Anybody have experience with it?

Its not real..

Like the best way to get placements is get out into you city and get in the loop.

Online you might get like $25.00 for a lease but all that work for $25.00 when you could work harder and meet real people in the game and place a beat for $5,000-$10,000 and get a point on the album.

I was a member of PMP and got like 4-5 offers and they were all for like $100-150 and they wanted rights..

Like i was some fruity loops producer lol

don't waste your money

don't listen to this person right here. This is ignorance at it's best (from a business perspective)

PMP is a great site I've worked with camps there and and made way more than 100-150 try 5 figures (from labels) not including royalties.

Think about it like this yes $20.00-$25.00 isn't much for a lease but it adds up fast not to mention t you give up 0 rights... That's free money people.

So while you searching for that 5k - 10k placement you could have made just as much or more leasing a few tracks for the petty $20.00. YOu have people on rocbattle that lease tracks for $20.00 (from the site) have over 500 sales (do the math) they also have the track shopped to video game companies (thats more lease $$) and they have a version or a few knock versions of that track shipped right into the majors.

People don't know how to shop and take advantage they dont think longterm it's sad

Or you can just be stupid and let all the "hardwork" sit on the drive or disc or wherever you store you music and profit 0.

The best way to make money in this game is to outsource as much as possible go to functions and remember that hiphop isn't the only genre of music that pays in other words don't limit yourself.

Ps. I've never encountered a company that wanted to pay me less due to what I was using to create. They will however try to get a cheaper price from someone that is unknown or they feel presents themselves in such a manner.

man PMP is wack whoever owns it I'm sure is makeing a ton of money.. but to use it your better off buying $3,000 of new equipment and paying a credit card bill...

At least at the end of the day you will own some new hot equipment..

If you want a place to sell music on the internet soundclick alllldayyyy

If you want to get with the Majors Move to a city like Atlanta have hot beats and go to the club and hand them to everyone every night for 1 month and if your hot you'll be in that loop....

I know cats who sold industry beats thru PMP and I would say 1st and foremost your product has to be of quality to get papered out...dudes think they can have a string line, an 808 kick with a clap and some 1/16 or 1/32 hats and boom make 5 stacks..

wrong.....don't sound like everybody else in the underground and think you about to cake

all things music beat quality being equal

it comes down to contacts

100 people have a suitable beat for a project.

the one with the contact/foot in the door gets it

pmp is a "paid for" foot in the door

many people pay to have foot in the same door

cross ya fingers and also try to make connects on own too
