Pmp Worldwide

I was wondering if anybody on this forum is a member of pmp worldwide and if so (or if not) what your opinions are on these type of sites...It seems to be legit and clearly some producers that have joined the site are getting placements on major albums...Would be interested to hear others opinions..

thanks, thats interesting...definatly not looking to make the next jiggy club banger..and although i can get by on the keys, im a sample head anyway so i think i will save waisting my time...oh well

I had a bad experience with them. They do reoccuring billing and after I quit, they billed me 4 times before I stopped getting billed. They were good about reversing the charges but 4 times is very bad IMO. Each time, they encoraged me to stay, it didn't feel "professional" to me.

The other thing is that you really are paying a pretty extranious fee IMO for what you get. Unless you really are not trying, you can usually reach many of the artists who's AR's are on PMP by just hitting people up directly, even through social networking sites. I would say a few good contacts would be better.



I have heard PMP was shady. This is back in the day. Supposadly some AR would get paid to associate themselves with PMP but not intend on actually using it. Also, some of their producer sucess stories were from people who were chosen by PMP that were already pretty established. They got paid to be on the site or atleast free acounts. These people were going to be succesful either way. I know the second is true, not necesarily shady but misleading.
