Whats your price?

I have seen beats being sold on the internet for 50 buck or less. I go no less then $250. Now some might say thats too much and then might even say that I havent produced for any one big in the industry. Thats usually the come back that i get. Then they say that they can get a beat off the web for 50. I tell them thats cool. What i'm saying is my beat process takes time. From start to finish. I know ya'll made a track, thought it was hot, camback to it the next day and it sounded like ish. Everything has to compliment from the drums to the sounds. So if someone ever question you about your price thinking they are to high and then say you havent done anything move on. Cause believe me when and if I do have a beat done for a major artsit geuss what? that $250 just became $25g's. I bet a whole lot of cats wish they would have snatched up Kanye, The Neptunes, Hiteks and the big producers ish when they started cause now they probably couldnt afford them.

I usually go no lower than $300 if I'm selling....and I have worked with a few major artists. Thing is, I'm in hibernation mode right now. I don't even go out. I work, play video games, watch movies, sample. make beats and work with my artists. My artists keep my name in the streets for those who sleep, but I'm really in grind mode right now.

depends who it is. if its the locals i give em £250 - £500
if its them big wigs then it goes up to £5000

dese hinglish people nah know bout tings too tuff like me its usually just a ting where I license de riddem for them to perform and have on there album, but I am allowed to do any further extras or use it for my own purposes after a certain time. I usually stipulate these tings in the contract..

I got a question about when you sell beats. Say mc squared (fictional name) gave you a call and said I want beat blah blah blah, what happens after that. For those of ya'll that have been through this process can ou give me the steps.

Find out his intentions.....If you like them, negotiate. Always have a contract in place and reach an agreement on the terms and the price.

I get what I can. My average is $5500.00 to sell out all rights.
What do I care, you got a budget and i don't want to see you til your next album any way. The thing is if $500.00 is all I can get then - if I am desperate then I will take that. The stuff flow out me like water any way. But the $500.00 client is definatly not in the same league as the $5500.00 client. I try to keep my self surounded by the higher dollar client. But I aint going to turn my back and snub my nose at an up and comer eighther. I get in where I fit in. A buck is a buck and i do no my worth. Some have tried to scrape me becuase i won't go under $500.00. My belief is why go to a lexus dealer and complain about the price when all you have is toyota money. They are the same car right? It will cost you something.

Not really. Face it this is an expensive buisness we are in. Fast money spends faster, especially if you don't watch out. IRS on your back so you gotta watch your spending. And there are drouts so you gotta save too.

an if a mid level to major artist is tryin to holla then we gotta talk an see what kinda budget is there. Also I won't ever sell my beat complety outright, cuz i want that publishing $$$, remember that happen to the ppl who wrote an recorded the macarena? well if u don't know they flat out sold the song for $2,500 an lost out on hundreds of millions in royalties an sales. so becareful bout flatout sellin beats
