Rik Rok lives right around the corner from me he got some cool scrilla for "Change the Game" by Jay-Z. Ever since then hella artists been requesting his beats and he's been getting paid pretty nicely. 5 digits on almost every beat.

Even on rapmusic.com (the boards) people often pay 4-10k for a beat. That's non-commercial rappers. As long as your shit is hot it ain't a problem to get paid in this business.
