anybody know where to start looking for one?

I found my first agent in the Yellow Pages under "Talent Agencies" or "Entertianment"

We were on the road for 6 years....so it either went great or lousy depending on which memory I drag up. Certianly we worked week in and week out for six years and when the band broke up I called the AGent, told him I need to work and he placed me with a band (500 miles away) within a week....

What's the deal with agents...do you gotta pay them up front or just a % when they get you some work?

Mine have always gotten 10% of anything they book...
