How would i contact a manager?

I want start a indie record label and i was wondering how do i go about finding a manager? Is it neccessary? To start my own label do I just have to copywrite and trademark it or what?

You can be your own manager. You might want to get a good Lawyer who knows the music biz. Its a long process but if i were u i'd read up more on it.

To start your own label you're gonna need to do helluva lot more than copyright some music and trademark a name.


In fact, you can't even trademark the name until you have some definite plans to use the mark in commerce... so, it wouldnt do you any good to trademark it until you got some work done on the ground level.



If you want to start a record label, Id suggest you start developing some personal capital and working on your music. The technical/legal aspects should follow...
