Becoming An iTunes Artist

How does an indepenent artist sign up for an iTunes artist account. I know of some local independent groups who have songs on iTunes, I just do not know them personally to ask them. My main goal would just be for exposure. I searched the website but couldn't find anything, or even a contact e-mail.

Unfortunately, you will have to go through CD Baby or a similar organization in order to be placed on Itunes. The apple website does have an application to be place but after filling it out you'll recieve an automated message stating they are going through too many applications and to go through a third party. CD Baby takes $4 for each album if I remember right.

The album I just released "Da Clean Cut Thug" is being placed
on itunes and 14 other websites for digital down loads.....I
went through cdbaby.....It was free since I had the album
pressed at disc makers.......It takes about 2 weeks to 3 months
to see your music on the websites for downloading.......

I completely forgot about this topic until I got the e-mail a week or two ago.

I was actually able to get on iTunes through a friend who was working for a record label.

As of December 12th 2006 Renessis "Sunsets" is on iTunes
