I know that this shit gets on your nerves.. sorry.. but..

I live in a little little village.. no hiphop heads to rap on my beats..
just a few of my friends who get all the beats from me for free..
all my friends get em for free.. you know.. I'm cool with 'em

but.. I dont want to give my beats away for free to somebody, I don't know..
cuz.. diggin for vinyl costs a lot of money man..
last time.. I bought myself 40lps for about 100$ .. thats aight.. but I keep buying and buying and making beats and shit.. and I never get that money I payed for the lps back into my wallet..

when I post my beats in the soundclick forum.. some people are like "yo man.. I wanna have that beat.. it's so sick..."
but when I tell them to pay a little bit.. they don't respond to my mails anymore..

I mean.. why should I give somebody MY BEAT for free.. with the samples that I PAID..
like.. when the artist who wants the beat is a really doooppe mc.. I would say.. wtf.. you can have it for free man..
but I dont give my beats to some wack mc's.. know what i mean?

I see people in soundclick with wack beats.. and they sellin their licenses for 100-500$.. I mean.. what tha ****?!?!

I would be damn happy to get 50$ for one of my beats.. you know?

but what should I do?
I cant sell my beats in real live.. only on the internet..
but how? you got some tips for me?

I hope this shit dont sound cocky to you.. but when I need to pay for my beats (samples).. MCs also need to pay for it.. aight?

any response would be appreciated

here are some of my beats to listen to:

I checked out the beats and they were all pretty nice....The sampling and chops were all on point....The only thing you need to do is get some more drum sounds and maybe layer some of your drums so that they sound thicker....

Once you do that, you should have no problem selling on soundclick....You just gotta promote your page so that you'll get potencial buyers....Good Luck!!!!

thanks for your feedback and your tips! :D

alright.. I'm about to learn more about drum layering and mixing..
and when I did that.. how should I promote my beats?
posting links into the forum or something?
I'm new to soundclick.

I would get a myspace page (if you don't already have one) and befriend different artist on there....You would be surprised how your name can spread thru word of mouth!!!!

To add to that, soundclick now has member profiles just like myspace so you can link up with artist that way as well!!!!

get a myspace page and start adding. network with peeps who like your sound/vice-versa.

set up a google checkout account.
it's free.
they dont take any money out from your sales.
(this deal goes on until 2008) - read up.

then start posting your beats.
send bulletins.
go on craigslist and do the same.
anywhere hiphop exists.
post.

repeat.
get referrals from emcees.

good luck.

you can add your own players now, so you can have unlimited songs if you wanted too. myspace gets more traffic aswell, soundclick is poorly laid out imo.

You could also do what I do,promote your myspace page and on your myspace page put some link directing people to your soundclick page.Like say to check out all the beats click here, helped my sales and traffic out greatly. Now I get upwards of 500 to 1,000 page plays and about 700 page hits a day without promoting on soundclick. My .02.
