for the longest i thought these two companies did separate things. come to find out they do the same. which is better to go with?

Flip a coin and theirs yours answer. Seriously I can't tell you. Some people say bmi works better for amatures just getting started. I filled out the ascap paper work and am waiting for the reply.I went with it because it looked best to me.

what is it that you do that makes ascap work better for you if u dont mind me askin (sorry for the stupid question if it is one). im just tryin to get some info about these things

neither do I but I don't think a lot of 'song writers' actually write their sh*t out.
I strive to make more than just beats or loops but songs with concepts.

Don't really know,just looked better than bmi imo. Alot of my friends(other producers) are signed up with ascap and had good results.

I joined BMI way back cuz after comparing the 2, I realized that BMI sounded better then ASCAP (Ass-Cap) when said out loud!!!!

I think Ascap gives you more cents on the dollar....but bmi sends out checks more frequent....only difference I think...not sure
