If you set up a corp. a good suggestion is a LLC Limited Liability Company (also the cheaper method)
Its a fgood idea to have a corp. if you feel you could be sued for something regarding your musical productions. (Im not gonna go into detail on that point).. You can get sued and it only touches your company and NOT your personal assets (as in your house). There are instances when people who run legitimate companies lose their personal assets (Pierecing the corporate vail) but its not common unless serious wrongdoings are happening) (as in really shady stuff)
The music biz is FULL of shady stuff

That is correct. Also, your company has it's own credit.
