Anyone signed up with TAXI?

for those who aren't familiar with it, I believe its a great service.. some say its expensive but i think its worth it... How it works, is that the site puts listings of what particular production company/record label is looking for.. you submit your music to it... a TAXI rep reviews it and decides if they will forward it to the person who made the listing... They give you a full critique and are completely straight-up and honest.. They have a huge reputation so they just dont send any ol crap through... i submitted to 2 different hip hop instrumental ones so far, and they like all 6 tracks (3 for each listing) but now it takes a while i guess for the person to get back to you .. but still my music is getting heard by people who actually matter a little bit.. ha

they have listings for all sorts of genres.. i make electronic/video game sounding stuff too... and i submitted to a listing looking for electronic/happy stuff for commercials but was rejected... they said it was very good sounding and produced, but not what the poster is looking for ... so i can understand that .....

TAXI is garbage.... I know first hand from two previous artist I used to manage/work with. Quick example: your traxs have been reviewed and we would recommend this and or that as far as changes..... well we sent the EXACT same trax's back a few weeks later and all of a sudden they were "clean", "nice" good to go were going to forward these to the next "guys" in line..... yeah whatever.

-Don't get me wrong for some genere's Taxi is worth it but IMO they tend to cater to bands. To each their own but I don't see the $$$ investment in it with them on the R&B/Hip-Hop side.

-One last thing, like you said swift if the trax's aren't what a particular company or program is looking for why even forward it to them, we had a similar incident like that with them too.

well yea they have had listings calling for hip hop instrumentals to be used for commericals, film, etc.. not just record deals for an artist... but yea the majority of the listings are like " looking for hard rock band like audioslave" ha or stuff like the killers, arctic monkeys, etc
