So let me get this straight (Sample Clearing Question)

I make a beat containing samples. I can sell that beat to an artist, and in the artist producer contract can I still put my credits on there, and waive the responsibilities for getting the sample cleared? And make the artist responsible for getting the sample cleared? Does that eliminate me from any legal issues?

yes you can leave all clearance to the artist, but that will cut into your dough a lil. do a search this has been beat to death!
