best city in florida to network?

I was wondering which city in Florida is the best place to network? I've been considering moving out here to study Audio Engineering and get into music.

What school you thinking about going to? Full Sail in Orlando?

I'm thinking about SAE because I haven't heard a lot of good things about fullsail.

i'm a graduate of full sail, and have checked out both full sail and SAE. full sail murders SAE, but it also murders it in price. i don't think the price is worth it for what you get, so SAE may be the better option. plus SAE has schools all over the world, would be kinda hot to go study in Australia or somewhere like that.



Miami is the best place in FL to network.

yea, i work with the Neptunes a lot, did a project with Timbaland, worked with Cool n Dre a while ago, met Storch a couple times, my buddy was his engineer before he stopped paying people lol. i've met or worked with a lot of artists down here, most of the stuff i do is major label projects.


miami is a cool place to live, its not for everybody though. if you like to go out and party, you'll love it. the weather is nice. there are so many beautiful girls. a lot of people with a lot of money. its a rich folks play town kinda. but there's also a lot of cool culture, you got the Haitians, the Jamaicans, people from all over South America, the Seminole and Miccosukkee native americans (and their casinos lol) of course the Cubans and Puerto Ricans. Its rare to meet people who are actually born and raised in Miami. You also got all the nature sh*t like the Everglades, the Keys, great fishing, lots of cool parks. plenty of good weed too, and of course whatever else you're into.

i like it. some people don't. its not cheap to live here, thats for sure.

Oh thats watsup, where would be a good place for people thats 18-21 to live in Miami? I never actually been there so would it be easy for someone first moving there to learn there way around? I'm also curious to know what engineers make fresh outn of school, is it enough to live in a expensive city like Miami?

there's south beach, but its expensive. you can find affordable places, but they're sh*tty. there's affordable places scattered all over Miami and south FL really.

yea, its not hard. there's a lot of traffic, but the majority of streets are laid out in a grid and are numbered in a way that makes sense.

not a damn thing! lol sorry, but fresh out of school you're not going to get any paying engineering jobs. you're going to have to intern for awhile for free, then move up to assistant if you're worthy, then after you've been doing that a while you may start to land some engineering gigs. nothing is guaranteed, and you really have to prove your worth. sh*t aint easy.

Wow, had know clue they get paid nothing, so how did you get money when you first started out as an intern, work part time jobs? also if I were to stay in south beach with about 2-3 roommates, how much would rent be on average? How long were you an intern before you actually started getting jobs?

i had saved a bunch of money before i went to school, so I was ok for a while.

it varies. i interned for a year, but thats pretty long. i just had bad timing at the facility i was at. but it could be more or less depending on the facility.
