those who wait!

ok so after being out-bid on 9(no lie 9 of these things)(2500) and going as high as $1200 bux(and what frustrates me more is i see them going for $900 all day)....anyhow,,after being out bid on 9 of em i went for the -buy it now- deal and as im lookin i see the 2500se for 1300 obo..so i offer him 12 and as soon as i hit enter to send my bid the dam thing sold for -buyitnow-1300....ok so yeah thats 10..im not kiddin. im actually typing hard hoping it will go on caps by itself.lol....
ok so i pull out this idea of typing in my browser exactly like this (akai mpc2500 $1000.00) and the site for guitar centers used gear comes up....now ive only thought about local gc's used gear,ive never thought of checkin out other cities gc's...so i go to used gear,type in,mpc2500,and a huge list pops up so i start scrolling around and i see a couple for 999.00 and then i see one for 899.00 so i call three of them and the two for 999.00 they tell me theres usual wear and tear,few scratches,whatever...and the one for 899.00 is in mass.(i know theres tons of money there)(and usually where theres money,the people tend to take better care of there stuff)(therefore i chose the cities with most money)(most of the money is in north eastern u.s.)...anyhow,the guy at gc says,,"they are actually using this as the floor model with the original tag on it because it is in such good shape"..so i say "does it come with any upgrades,box,chord,manual,anything?" and he says,"i dont think theres any upgrades and the only thing it comes with is the chord"

well it got here today and as soon as i plugged it in the screen says"128 memory installed" and then it says "cd drive installed"

did i get a deal or what???

yeah, RAM isn't that expensive but the cd drive is nice. the problem is that there's been a bunch of stoned mothafawkahs banging the dhit out of it with their grimey hands for the last month...

good deal. I got an even better deal on mine. I was actually looking for 1000's at that time, then I came across this listing: a 2500 going for $750... actually cheaper than many of the listings for the 1000. I HAD to jump on that offer.

128 mb RAM and CD drive installed. It arrived in excellent condition... it even had the little plastic film cover still on the LCD. I almost feel like I stole it.

Seems like the guy had hit a rough patch and was in a real hurry to sell.

that is the same exact way i felt,,,i felt like someone must have been doin bad to want to get rid of it fast and cheap,cause mine was in the same condition,,one scratch across the bottom.like it was on something sharp and he tried to slide it,that was it,everything else was like new..
