can i save aiff file types on a mpc 2500?

I doubt it. If I am not mistaken, Reason is the only software that can read those files and Reason has no convertor. The only way I can think of converting them would be to record them into Pro Tools via Rewire and export the audio as wav files and transfer to the MPC. But for all of that, you might as well just sample them into the MPC!

yea Reason has a couple drum kits on there that i need...i tried using Reason with my MPC but when i track everything down back to protools the Reason sounds are always off slighty late/beat, so i gave up on that.

Still sounds like you have a hardware buffer issue or a computer issue! You can try this. Track your Reason instruments into the Pro Tools alone, without the MPC's drums. The Reason instruments should at least be in sync with each other. Once you are ready to record your drums, try raising the h/w buffer in Pro Tools one setting at a time to see if you can get the drums to match of with the Reason sounds.

BTW, you can convert the AIFF files to the proper WAV format using Pro Tools!
