MP 2.5K + VSTi or Reason

I've tried to connect my MPC to reason with no luck at all.

the furtherest i've managed to come is:

Being able to trigger the sounds out of reason WITH the Mpc pads.

If i hit record and press the pads, the mpc records the sounds and plays it back as normal.

but when i want to use the internal sounds the mpc outputs the sounds out the headphone jack as opposed to outputting into my inteface and out the speakers.


all i want to do i make the drums in the mpc then add keys synth bass with a vsti or reason.

Can someone please help me achieve this or guide me with the connections.

The MPC is recording midi, not the sounds from reason. When you play it back the midi is triggering the sounds in reason.

Is the audio output of the mpc going to your interface? You say you're listening to the MPC through the headphones

What you want:

Audio

MPC audio outs to Interface
PC audio outs to interface
Interface to speakers

Midi

Keyboard to MPC Midi In
MPC Midi out to interface Midi in

USB

Keyboard to PC

I think that's it...

Have you watched the videos on youtube about using Reason as a sound module?

His problem is slightly different I think. Your problem is that you can't get the MPC sounds out of your interface?

Is the audio output of the mpc going to your interface? You say you're listening to the MPC through the headphones

ummm when i connect the stereo out of the mpc into the input of my interface i get a bad feedback sound.

and when you say PC outs...

i'm using a laptop so theoretically there are no outs... all the sound is coming through the usb cable connecting the laptop to the interface.

and when u say interface to speakers...

in order to work would the speakers need be connected the the output of the interface as opposed to be connected the the interfaces headphone jack.

. Not sure about this one. what other connections do you have going into/out of your interface. I don't actually use an interface myself (internal soundcard) so I might not be of much help here.

Again I don't use an interface but I would think the main outs go to your speakers.
