Bit reduction on JJ XL

After getting my hands on that Pete Rock documentary that I put up in Off Topic I immediately regret selling my SP 1200 and am now on the hunt for another one . But I also just remembered that the JJ XL adds the bit reduction feature so I'm wondering if there's anyone in this section who's actually owned a SP (or owns one) and has compared this feature to it . There's nothing like the real deal but if I can come close I'll be happy . I've got 3.09 right now and am fine w/ that but if that feature is worth it I'll upgrade .

I used to have an SP-12 and still have my emax. I have never did a comparison though..what sounds good to me sounds good to me, but I like the bit-reduction in the JJ-OS..I also like the lo-fi option in the SP-303/404 also though..
