CLUELESS, I have a mpc 2500, ableton, and dig 002

i dont want to use pro tools, I just want to use my mpc and digi 002, and run into my mac using ableton 7, why is this so difficult, should i be looking for a mpc software also, and does anyone have any recommedations, because I saw the native instruments muschine and loved it, but I know my mpc is ten times better.

What exactly are you finding difficult?

Install the Digidesign ASIO driver so that Ableton can access the 002 interface.

You don't have to use Pro Tools software unless you want to.

It's easy.

aint Digdesign propietary protools hardware? I think you might need a new interface, but I could be wrong

no actually the protools software comes FREE, you actually are paying for the interface, whichever one you get

digidesign just forces you to buy one of their interfaces if you want to use their software... unless have pt m-powered.

but a digidesign usb or firewire audio interface will work with most daw just as any other interface
