Anyone else have any problems/tips for using the MIDI Thru?
I have multiple hardware synths hooked up to my MPC2500, and what I want to do is have them play through the MPC, so I set the Thru to OMNI:A-D and have each one on their own MIDI channel, but it's not working. Stuff coming out of A will work on some settings, including ones it shouldn't like OMNI-C, whereas other ones I can't get to work at all.
The only one I can get to work consistantly is Thru Active Track, but then that means you can never live-play more than one hardware synth at a time, and it gets confusing--e.g. you play on the drum synth, and it triggers notes on the keyboard synth because that's what active track you have up.
(sorry if the terms aren't exactly right, I'm not at my MPC right now.)
Also, I'm running JJOSXL, although I think this part is still original akai functionality.
Thanks for any help!
