So I just spent the last half hour of my life chopping up breaks to compile a new drum kit. Towards the middle of my chopping session, I start getting little glitches when I would delete samples. The screen would get all pixely, and showed some random characters, but the file wouldn't actually delete until I deleted it a second time. "This is new," I thought to myself. "Let me just just ride it out to see what happens." I delete a couple more sample among more chopping, get the same glitch, keep on going. I also notice that when I extract different parts of one sample too many times, I have to manually name the extracted sample or else the mpc will just copy the sample without extracting the selected region (thus leading to more deletion.) "Odd," I thought. Kept going. After loads of chopping, I decided that I was gonna chop just one more crash out of a break, and call it a night. I hit extract, name the extracted file, and here comes the glitch like clockwork. I push a random button to clear the glitch like I had been doing before except this time, the glitch disappeared along with ALL of the samples in the mpc. The screen then informed me that i had 128MB RAM installed, and returned to the main screen with totally blank memory
On a different night, I would have been pissed, but I'm in a good mood, and cant help but find it funny that the mpc would wait until my very last chop of the night to cop out on me (it's like it was waiting to get me! lol)
Anyways, has anyone had a similar problem with the 2500 just deleting all your sh!t? This is the first time it's happened to me, but it's not something I would be okay with happening again. Does the JJ OS have this problem?
And I'm wondering if this could possibly be........
.....a good excuse for me to get a 3000le
