Is my note repeat broken?

Whats up yall.
Haven't used the note repeat feature on the MPC (been mostly just playing my stuff out without it) but got curious to mess around with it the other day.
Now from what I've read and remember, you hold down the NOTE REPEAT key and hit/hold down the pad and there's the feature. The options of 1/8, 1/6, 1/32 and so forth should also come up on the screen. However, when I hold down the note repeat button, nothing happens. I read that if you hold note repeat and hit SHIFT it toggles the feature on and off so I tried that and no difference.
Am I missing something here?
Is the button screwed?
Anyone have the same issue?
Any suggestions???

When you hit the note repeat button, the timing options should comeup on the bottom of the screen. If you press it and nothing happens i guess the buttons broke..

press and hold shift,then press the nv button

your tact switch is probably f'ed up. mpcstuff.com tact switch it involves soldering.

if its the nv,it could be the slider itself...the tact is much easier to install than the slider,,but if i was you and i couldnt get it to work after i tried everything that people posted,i would probably buy the slider and tact and replace both..other wise u might be waiting for one or the other to arrive if the first one dont fix it,,good luck man!!

ok i checked and the slider and tact work off the same curcuit,meaning if one goes so will the other,,its like the pad bank buttons,,if the tact fails,the light will no longer work untill the tact is fixed,,,so it could be one or the other or both..

Ok sorry it's been a while here people.
But I believe my sliders weren't working either. (Q1 and Q2) I've been using just Q3 and Q4 so I believe this might be the problem. So how can I go about getting the tact fixed? Is it expensive?

before you open and read this....this was my first time doing this so make sure you read the whole thread before you start,,because i did some things that i shouldnt have (still worked) but throughout the thread it explains what i did wrong and how to avoid what i did....if all else fails,i seriously would be willing to help you out if u can at least remove the board and send it to me...check with people on here,,im good people homie!!!good luck and peace out!!
