Keyboard through

I'm aware I could use the search function, but that's a pain on a phone. My question is: is there a way to have your keyboard play its sounds through the mpc, and asign them to pads, like you can vice versa with the mpc sounds assigned to keyboard keys through midi? I can only get it to go one way. I can get the keyboard to play out my mpc with 1/4 in. plugs, but I want to know if you can do that through midi, or do that through midi and assign the sounds to pads. Hope that makes sense.

You can set up an MPC to trigger sounds on a keyboard synthesiser. The midi output from the MPC goes into your synthesisers midi input. Pressing the pads will trigger the respective notes to play on your synth. You can adjust the midi note number sent from each pad to your exact needs.

You can set up an MPC to have its internal samples triggered by a keyboard synthesiser. This is the more common method and is normally achieved by simply connecting a midi keyboard to the MPC midi input and pressing the keys.

In both instances you'll probably want to ditch drum mode for chromatic mode to ensure that the correct notes play in the correct (chromatic) order. By default your MPC will be in drum mode which is unhelpful in this instance.
