problem getting to my samples

i've got an mpc2500 with 120gb hard drive 128mb memory and cd drive . i've put a load of one shot samples on to a disc. the problem is when i select load form cd drive, it seems like the samples are loading but when it finishes i cant find them anywhere.
what am i doing wrong can anyone help me on this. thanks
