I really need help!
I have pro tools 7 slaved to my mpc 2500 and it has been my setup for a while. I recently imported old session data recorded in pro tools 5.6 into a new session in 7 to play around with it.
All settings in preferences, peripherals, session, etc are the same as in other sessions. The mpc is set to synch out and everything is the same and must be in order because in the other sessions when I put pro tools online and hit play on the mpc, pro tools starts as it should.
But in this new/old session that was originally done in 5.6 and now whose session data is imported into a new session in 7, when I put pro tools online and hit play on the mpc, i can see the play button light up as it would if the playhead was moving and playing, however the playhead does not advance forward. it doesn't play. but when of course i then hit play in pro tools it does. at the bottom i notice that when i put pro tools online and hit play on the mpc i get the message waiting for synch. HOW DO I FIX THIS PLEASE?!!!!!!!!!!! thank you.
