"By itself, in a band, or in your dj'ing act? How do you use it, or incorporate it into your show?"
I use it entirely differently, mostly for 32bar midi sequencing.
each 'page' of 16 tracks has 2 kik patterns, 2 snare patterns, 4 basslines, 4 hihat patterns & 4 background FX patterns.
the basslines go to a synth
midi clock goes to another synth with it's own sequencer with hands on control, which also controls a korg ms10, and midi clock goes to an E-mu 2500, which I'm just working into the set up.
all mixing is done live, using the MPC mutes, and on the 8 channel DJmixer.
Audiowise, 8 channel mixer:
mpc mono kik - compressor - ch1
mpc stereo hats - ch2
mpc mono snare - compressor - ch3
mpc stereo FX - ch 4
then one delay FX aux return - ch5
3 synths - ch 6, 7 & 8.
Warning - long intro & not breakz!!!
