MPC2500 as Sequencer with Pro tools 8

I want to do the beat using the MPC and use VI's in PT8. Complete the beat and then dump to Pro Tools. How would I set that up? I'm Using Workstation2 and Komplete8.

This is how I record so I can be of some help here. Are you using external synths as well? Midi outs A,B,C go to the Midi ins of external equipment. Midi out D goes to the Midi input of my Digi002 rack. When ever I wish to use VI's in Pro Tools I create a stereo Instrument track. If you want to use multiple VI's you will need to create multiple stereo Instrument tracks. This next part is important. You must record enable all of the instrument tracks or you will not here your instruments correctly. Now on your MPC select MIDI, turn off the program and turn your output to 1D. You have 16 different D MIDI tracks to use VI's with. Back in Pro Tools, load a VI on an Instrument track. At the top of your mix window select Digidesign 1. You will now be playing that VI.If you wish to use another VI load it on the next Instrument track and select Digidesign 2. You will need to now turn your next MPC track to 2D. Hope this helps.
