Best Pads?

Hello! Which pads do you think are the best?

1. Original 2500 Pads.
2. Thick Fat Pads
3. Extra Sensitive Thick Fat Pads.
3. Pads with Corx.

the thick pads have the corx built in, thus making them "extra sensitive" My question would be do the thick pads make it too sensitive, like hitting the pad once and it stuttering twice

Aren't the 'extra sensitive' pads (assuming you're talking about mpc stuff's store) only marketed for the mpc1000? These won't work in the 2500 due to pad size, the MPC 1000 pads are smaller than the 2500 ones.

What you're looking for is this: http://www.mpcstuff.com/akmpcmpdthfa2.html (in whatever colour you choose). Make sure you specify 2500.

The corks come with this upgrade for free and it's your choice whether to use them or not if you feel it's too sensitive when installed with the cork.

Furthermore, JJOS also has pad sensitivity tweaking if you want to get picky.

MPC2500 pads from mpc stuff....

I have the thick set, they don't seem to be any more sensitive to me...and they cast shadow cause they are thicker. I'm thinking of going back to the standard pads, with corks!
I really want as sensitive as i can get - light touch trig!!!

anyone got tips?

My 2500 is just the black standard replacement pads and my preferred sensitivity setting in JJOS2XL.

I have the corked Fat Pads in an MPD32 and the 1000 ones with the extra "cork" molded in. On those two boxes they are an absolute must. Outside of the 1000/MPD series design flaws I never felt the need to add corks or Fat Pads or Corks.
