"piano style" assignment of samples to pads

Hi Everyone (first post), I hoping someone can help me assign samples to pads (or played with midi keyboard) so they can be played in different notes, preferably in order (c,d,e,f,g,a,b). This was very easy with my MV-8000. Thank you.
