MPC 2500 OS Update/Solution

What's good yall?
OK so every time I turn on the MPC the screen says "MPC os update insert memory card!!" I inserted my CF card and then it says "wrong card!!" Bad thing is I cant seem to get off of that screen no matter what I do. Is this an MPC crash? Any suggested solutions would be greatly appreciated. God Bless

I've had that before in Akai OS. It turned out that the MPC was looking for its original CF card and not the card that I was using. When I put in the original card with the OS on it it worked perfectly . After JJ OS was installed I could then use any CF or the disk drive for loading the OS.

There has been arguments about this very thing in the past on the forum, so may be worth trying to look up. Ppl were split between whether you needed the original card or not. Perhaps some brands of CF worked for OS installs and others didn't.

Bro! I think I found a solution to my problem from reading through the thread you sent me. Preciate that to the max! Although I haven't tried it, I feel confident that its gonna work. Makes too much sense not to work. Thanks again.
