Hi i have MPC 2500 from second hand since july and i found a little problem with my unit. I was happy MPC 1000 user for a long time and never had this issue with it (never had any issue with it).

My problem is hard to explain, but i will give it a try :)

My MPC sometimes during playback or just in realtime triggering samples with pads, sometimes it just pan the sound output strictly to the right channel only, but it's just for a second (maybe less time). It appears really randomly with random intervals, it's not periodical. Sometimes i can compose whole song and didn't see this all of the time and sometimes i just playing for a while with some drums and it's just nasty and it appears in short intervals. I had openned the mpc a tried to replug all the cables, just to be sure, they are all in right position, but it's still there...

I'm really confused, because i don't know, what can be source of this problem...so if somebody had this problem and solved it, I will be really grateful for sharing his knowledge about this...thanks

PS: I'm using last Akai OS 1.24

Thanks for response...

Tried free JJOS - problem was still there....So I openned MPC again, and i saw that pins, which connects AD/DA board to main board, had lot of oxidation on them, so I resolder them and now it's working without that problem...Maybe it was the source of the problem...I'll see

Today I spent 2 hours with live drumming on MPC and I think it appeared one time, but I'm not sure about that on 100%, because it can easily be just my headphones when I made moves with my head :) ... but for now, I'm confused again...

You said, you have two MPCs with this problem so I'm considering, why there is not more about that problem around?
It looks like I'm not alone....

every now and then someone with this problem pops in, but I have not seen a decisive cause/solution to it yet
