Form the guys here and especially Nym who was in contact with JJ and MPCStuff regarding the screen+OS, very good consensus.

I've held out but mostly on cost. It looks like a great thing to have more data on the screen at one time, and as a 4k owner I could totally see how a larger LCD would be dope on my 2500.

Hey thanks for the reply. Ive paid for the express delivery ($30 more) also so hopefully I get it all for Xmas. I split from the wife this year (its cool) so just me and my 6 year old for Xmas morning. Guess what she's gonna be wrapping for me when it comes haha. Well you got to make a day of it right. So when she opens her Doll's and stuff im opeing my XLCD.  :-D

I went for the old skool MPC skin also. Coming originally from a background of the 60 mk1, Ive never overly been a fan of anything other than beige. Not that I dont like the black its just Beige body with Red logo (Akai acctually means 'red' in Japan) well that was the mark of Akai.
Ive been around the hardware range from the S1000 back in 88 up to the 6000. So I'm hoping to get my 2500 that I upgraded to a few years ago, beige'd up. Ill update here so other newcomers and such can see how I get on. Till then, if anyone wants to talk MPC, im all ears

I've seen the 1k and 2500 skinned to look like a 2000 Classic/XL and they both looked really nice. I thought of doing it but I would have wanted a real paint job and re-screen on the letters and that would have been like $300USD so I didn't...

Hey man hold your head on the split up, but Christmas with the daughter you can't beat that.

Thanks man, Yeah sure, like I say it cool (the split) Bitches man haha

And of course, Xmas with my daughter. Priceless!

I was thinking of doing the same re the respray but honestly wouldn't know where to start?

What were the processes you were going to do? Naturally the respray what Id guess you could get done at any car shop.

.....But then how do you do the letters and such? You mention re-screen? Googling but any info is food for thought.

There was one guy in France who had a repaint/refinish/parts business going, Renato Rizoli...but he closed shop. His work was really good, flats, chromes all kinds of stuff.

There is a member here from Japan, ghostinMPC who does some amazing work. Various color schemes and even wild stuff like a MPC3000 in a SP1200 paint scheme and font. Just use the search here or come at it from Google "Custom+MPC [+Forums if using Google].

Another guy who was starting a service for that stuff did the forum an amazing solid when he gave extremely detailed instructions on the process. Salute to Glewfactory.
