Screen flickering...

Hi to everybody, just went at a dude's home to test his 2500 to see if its all ok to buy it. all were ok, except for this: the screen was flickering any time/continuously and with the same "tempo", but only a little , just a small flickering that dont affect the workflow etc. i want to know if this may be cause from amthing like "local energy sockets", if is a "plug problem" (i ll test it tomorrow at another room and diffferent socket) OR if its a more serious problem such as backlight or screen ...

the boy that sells the mp doesn know a lot about the maschine he havent worked it more than 10hrs(i noticed) and dont know a lot even about the basic funktions. he had purchased from another guy and says screen was flickering a bit about the time he bought it from this guy.

what do you suggest?

ps. i must decide in less than 24 hrs , as i am in his town by chance, and its a good deal to avoid the delivery costs..

My 2500s screen flickers occasionally, had it for few yrs now. Never bothered to investigate since it always worked it could be voltage spike related in the sockets, power supply or the screen.

We try to boot the MP at another places/homes and no problems , it seems to only appears occasionally , as in your position...
I finally bought it , and all seems to be well, the flickering doesnt happens at my home, too, so its ok for the time..

i dont know if i must live with it or try to fix it, i also read here that some people had the same problem, after having put the Hard Drive in the MPC. Mine has already a Hard Drive, too, so it may be from this reason, who knows..

But why a Hard Drive can cause problems to the screen? This is a good question i think..
