I'm looking for Jogwheel encoder.
Maybe you know who is manufacturer of this part.
I know Phanasonic is making similar encoders. But I don't know exact specs for the MPC encoder.
MPC stuff has this part in stock, but it will cost me 50EUR after taxes and shipping. It's a bit much for a max 5EUR component.

Thanks for the part number. Seems like a rare piece of part.
Asked datasheet and info form ALPS.
I'll update this thread when I receive some additional information.

Answer from ALPS.

"SRGPSJ0500 has been discontinued around 2004/2005 timeframe already.
There is no direct replacement part. Also datasheet is no more available."

Seems like I have to wait the new solution what mpcstuff has developing.

...or just buy the standard one they have in stock.

I wouldn't expect that the new one is going to be any cheaper.

Contacted Akai and asked direct contact with some wearhouse.
But they still directed me to local distributor, so **** it.
MPC stuff ---> Add To Cart --> Pay
Now everything is soldered and working perfectly.

Glad you got it sorted. This is why these parts cost so much, they are ultimately a pain in the backside to source, even Akai doesn't stock them.

Plus they are for a machine no longer made, so no one is bending over backwards to buy in bulk and just sit on that stock for the next 10 years until they eventually sell them all :)
