Question difference 16mb and 126mb ram

Hi,

I know you can expand your stock 2500 to 128mb to have more sampletime. But are there more benefits because I dont need 24minutes of sampletime. I will receive mine mpc in 2 days and my mainquestion is, is the stockmodel with 16mb slow with loading/saving etc ? Or does the rammodule doesnt change that much ?

The RAM gives you more working memory, nothing more than that, it doesn't affect any other aspect of your mpc - the more RAM, the more sounds you can have in any one project. The default 16MB is very limiting - once you start working on projects that contain loops, multisamples, hundreds of individual samples etc, you'll definitely need the 128MB upgrade.

Basically it's essential, so get it, especially as compatible memory costs pennies these day on Ebay/Amazon.
