how to stack samples and play them in order

Hi,

I would like to figure out how to put 4 samples on to one sample pad and play them in order. So when I hit the pad the first time, the 1st sample plays. Then when I hit the same pad second time, the second sample plays. The third sample, the third time and the fourth sample the fourth time.

I really appreciate whatever help any one can give me.

You're better off just putting the samples onto four different pads. Or you could assign the first sample to pad bank A, the second to B (on the same pad) etc and switch between them. Pretty sure what you want to do can't be done the way you described it

With JJos-XL you can do it. You have to put the samples onto different pads and set them as targets. Look for "CYCLE" at the bottom of this page:

so If I do it with JJos and create a target pad, can I link pads from other banks to the target pad??

That way I could keep it all on one bank for the live show and keep it simple

"Cycle" looks really interesting. For a while I was using a Nord Micro Modular triggered by acoustic drum triggers (one on my bass drum, one on an aux snare/floor tom) to play solo stuff. Each stroke on the drum would trigger a new note OR a new set of notes (in a predefined order).

I've been REALLY missing this setup... and I think this fancy pants "Cycle" mode could bring me back to speed with all that.

Speaking of cycle, does anyone know if there is a way to use cycle but still have all the notes recorded on the originating pad? It's a bit messy to erase cycled notes in the default setting, as all the cycled notes are recorded onto the "destination" pads..
