Need Some help with AUTOLOAD

Im new to the mpc 2500.
I want to know how i get my pad mapping still the same when i turn the mpc back on.
I made a folder called "AUTOLOAD"
I saved the entire memory in the autoload folder
But when i turn it back on, theres no sound linked to the pads.

Hope someone can help me

I got Autoload on my 2500 & seems to work fine.

I've got it on my Hard Drive. It's got to be in the top-most directory. And when I power up there is no CF inserted. So if it's on the Drive and with a CF inserted or vice-versa then perhaps there may be an issue there. Have you also checked to see if everything is in the Autoload folder; Programs, Samples etc.

Also, I don't know if all OS's do Autoload. Mine is JJ OS1 5.56

Im using JJ os 3.10 & it has the autoload function.
I just saved the entire memory again in the autoload folder, all seqs&songs, the program and the samples.
But when i start the mpc up, i see that the samples are being loaded.
And when i press a pad nothing happens....
I think i do something wrong, its frustrating!

And when i go to: load -> AUTOLOAD-> and i open the .PRJ file, the samples does work when i press a pad.
But it doesnt autoload when i turn on the mpc.

I don't know whats happening there. After reading your replies, I just realised that I don't load any pad sounds on my Autoload. I'm just loading in tracks that automatically assign Midi & Midi control to specific tracks. So I'm not the best person to ask.

As a thought, what happens if you save a Program directly to the Autoload folder rather than through the PRJ save? But just stabbing in the dark here.

find the folder then load it .
don't open the folder.

I just bought jj os3 and the problem was the free jj os.
I guess it didnt support autoload?

I have the free JJ OS and I can use autoload. I go to Load then F4 like dude said and then make sure the cursor is on Hard Drive, then you will get the AUTOLOAD option. It threw me off because if the cursor is on your mem card you don't get the option, but if you select HD then AL you chan choose internal, HD, or mem card ...? weird
