About a year ago I purchased an MPC 4000 from Guitar Center and some of the pads were acting pretty weird so I returned it. Plus the 4000 is a TANK!!
A couple of days ago, I purchased a used MPC 2500 for $449 from Guitar Center and it should arrive next week. Assuming the 2500 is just a stock version, did I get it at a good price? Also, what recommendations do you guys have for learning how to use the machine as quickly as possible.
Another thing I wanted to know is, I use the Propellerhead Balance interface and it does not have midi inputs... Can I use the midi to usb to sync the mpc to my DAW?

but if you got some more $$$ get yourself JJOS-XL, it has most of the things you would expect from this machine, or just check it yourself before buy, demo versions are fully operational, except saving.
Don't rush yourself trying to go quickly as possible. It'll reflect in what your trying to do.
