Right side PCB board

Hi MPC forum!

This is my first post here and I'll have to apologize in before if this thread has come up before.

I've been looking for a new right side pcb-board for my mpc2500 since mine busted a couple of months ago. I've emailed akai but they say that the part I'm looking for has discontinued. I've also emailed mpc-stuff but they didn't give me a solid answer.

Now I'm turning to you guys in hope that someone might be selling this part or know how to get a hold of it.

As said, it's the right pcb-board with the jog wheel and volume/record knobs.

It all started out with me just switching the "down arrow". I tried to saulder but as I got it all togheter I noticed that it still wasn't working, so I figured the circuit must've gotten busted.

If you can't find it, take it to someone who knows how to solder and repair gear properly, they should be able to fix up any problems with your dodgy soldering job.

Not sure why MPCStuff wouldn't give you a solid answer, they either have them for sale or they don't.

Have you asked VST Service if they have any?

Yeah I'll probably have to take it to somebody who knows what they're doing.

Just so you know, I am still wanting a PCB. If you guys can't work it out or whatever

Im still looking but wont be able to make a payment till the 25th this month.

Has anyone been able to find the "mpc 2500 Right Side Jog Wheel and Vol PCB Board"? I have tried to find this for a few weeks. I have replaced tact switches on my mpc but it seems like im constantly replacing them. Eventually now my down arrow doesnt work and a few others, so I will need to replace the board, any help will be appreciated.

PS mpcstuff is out of stock

Are replacing only some of them, and then others are failing?

If so, maybe replace them all at once.


Or are you replacing some, and then the same ones that have been replaced are failing?

If so, are you using good quality Alps or Omron tact switches?

They are different tact switches I am replacing not the same ones. So, now I am looking for a board. Anyone know where else I can find one besides mpcstuff? They are out of stock.

BillboardBeats, I understand the frustrations since I had a similar issue recently, however in my case, a track disappeared from the PCB so I have to custom manufacture a new one. In your case, as suggested earlier, a little repair can do the trick I think and it won’t even cost you much. These volume keys and buttons generally get issues like that and anyone with good de-soldering and soldering skills can do them for you.
