CF Problems

Hi Everyone,

Recently bought an 8GB AKAI CF Card to upgrade from 32MB. However, as soon as I put it inside the MPC2500, everything freezes! When I take the 8GB CF back out, everything starts to work again. The MPC2500 works fine with the 32MB card too. I am using the latest AKAI OS.

I have no idea what is going on.

Do I need to Format the 8GB CF Card (but not using the MPC)? Or do I need to change to JJ OS because the AKAI OS for MPC2500 does not support 8GB? Or is something else going on?

If anyone has any idea why this is happening, please share the knowledge!

Perhaps my original message was misunderstood.

I can not format the card when it is inside the MPC2500 because everything freezes.

Thus, any button I press is not responsive.

Any other ideas?

it's as if everything stops working when the 8GB is inserted. As in absolutely everything...

When i take it out, it returns to normal.

got a problem like this and still not solved it. so i just bought a Hard Drive and forgot about using CF.
