MPC 2500 jog wheel

I dont know about you guys but the clicking sound on the 2500's jog wheel get on my nerves to the fullest. Is the anyway to take it off and re-assemble it without the annoying click, before i just open it up?

Yes you can but wouldnt recommend it...you can file down the teeth/rigid piece of plastic that causes clicks

Speaking of this, I seem to recall some rumours that mpcstuff.com would be coming up with new jogwheel alternative parts for the MPCs? Anyone have any details on it?

He's still working on it, I believe it's more tricky than was first expected.

Are the jog wheels on the 2500 really that intense? I'm considering upgrading from a 1000 (more outputs/MIDI stuff)... but keep hearing stories about this blasted wheel. I'm already having nightmares.... NUUUUUUUU! Lolz.

But really, is it that bad?

nah brah it aint that bad its accurate and responsive. I bought mine from a guy who didnt know how to use it so it mine is practically new, so maybe down the road ill have to replace it. Only thing is the clicking. Its so loud i hear the damn thing turning with a loop on.

I like it, easier to move one incriminate and I kind of like the sound. Better then the 1000 wheel imo.

No reason for not buying a 2500

That I know. I'm just a geek when it comes to the little things like that. No big deal.

If you intend using it at night while the family are asleep, forget it, unless the room you are working in is soundproofed. The clicking will wake people up.

I like it. It's so loud that its a problem.

i got a new black jog wheel...whenever it gives me an attitude problem i use the - + buttons underneath.
