Getting glitchy

So today I started having issues with the 2500. I'm running JJOS 3.11. first i thought it was a dead pad. Pad 9 wasn't triggering the sample every time i hit it, thought it was losing sensitivity but it was just misfiring. If i hold the pad down, when i release it there is this weird click noise. then i realized that it was the whole row of pads. They're all acting up. The machine plays back beats, I can upload seq's and prog's, it plays them fine.
I figured I needed to replace the pads, but then I noticed some other strange stuff. the jog wheel doesn't allow me to change the program selected for the track on the main screen. I can open the window and go in and then change it, but i can't change it from the main one.
So the whole thing is acting kind of buggy now and I'm wondering if this is typical with the JJOS? I'm originally a 2kXL guy so I subconsciously think in those sort of terms. Memory issue, motherboard, or just an OS problem perhaps. There's so many thing's going wrong I can't really put my finger on it. I've done a lot of repairs on the 2kXL, but i've never had a bad motherboard. Does this sound like a serious issue or just a buggy OS?

Make "factory reset" > hold erease while powering on
If this ain't help it's prolly hardware (pads)
as for the jog wheel, it supposed to change it... but I'm not on 2500 free os to tell you how it's acting act up in this exact situation.

yeah, reset your OS and see if the problems persist. def sounds like your pads are starting to go. i ran into similar bugginess, replaced the sensors, back to normal.

also there's a newer free jjos, 3.13.

so today the unit is working fine. no issues, pads are fine. the jog wheel doesn't seem to be the issue, it works but the main screen wasn't responding properly before, not responding to jog wheel for certain parameters. when i get the time i might check to see if the ram is seated firmly. Seems like it must be an OS issue or maybe motherboard problem. anyone know if the pads go out individually or in rows????? i

when mine went, it was the top row. they'd either work intermittently or not at all, or with weird velocities. then it spread to the second row.

I just started having this problem today, the pads are retrig real fast like a fast note repeat is on them but the thing that is really strange is that without pressing any pads at all, and having no sequence programmed if I just put the 2500 into record mode and listen to the metronome it also retriggers in crazy ways.... now I am not pressing any pads at this time, I have no sequence programed at this time, and the track has no midi information on it... just the metronome missfiring..
I'm running the free jj os 310 and have never had this problem?

I updated to the latest free os 313 and still have this issue.
