Unwanted midi notes (mpc with logic pro)

I recently set up an mpc 2500 as a midi controller in logic. The set up works fine except for when note repeat is played. When note repeat is applied, there is a low note (c-0) of the sample playing the same time as when i press a pad. I was trying to find a way to remove this low C.
