Sorry if this has been a topic before but I'm having trouble finding the answer.

For live performance it would be beneficial to me if I could play a sequence and go back and forth between overdub. That way I could have a track already going and live play for instance a bass fill, then dub in a line, back out of overdub and play another unique fill. Currently when I press play then overdub it will light up but only while I'm pressing overdub, and will not dub even if I hold the button down.

Is there a way to do this or am I SOL?

Thanks!

welcome to the forums!

while it is techically an "overdub" if you record in to an existing recording, what you want to do is called "punch in" - look up your manual on how to do that on the mpc.
it is on page 17 in the pdf... ...always quicker to look there first before posting a question...

have fun!

peace, jo

Wow... I read the manual and I swear I've tried that button combo before. I must have been fooling myself. Thanks for your help though that's one jam I'm glad to be out of! :worthy:
