New User of MPC 2500 SE

My only objective is to mess around with some drum kits and loops. Im sure youre all familar with araabmuzik. my only desire is to do what he does or atleast try. ive searched for hours and have gotten nowhere.

If you could please take a look at the video. This is all i want to achieve.

When i play a sound that lasts 5 secs if i hit the pad 3 times it will play over itself. how can i set it up to when i hit the pad it restarts everytime instead of overlaping and without holding the pad???

Start with the manual and read up on the functions. It's a function or setting you need to mess with detailed in the manual. Start there cause right now your working backwards.
