Hi there,

my setup has got a bit bigger since day 1 and I now have 1 korg M1 and 2 sound modules (e-mu mophatt and Yamaha TX81Z).

I'm getting a bit tired of unpluging the audio jacks of one synth to plug in the ones of another on the MPC, plus I can't have them all play together.

So I would like to know what would you advice as a intermediary between the synths and the MPC, to have everything plugged into the MPC at the same time (audio + MIDI) ?

I have looked over some sound cards (like Scarlett 2i6) but it is out of budget for me.

What would you recommend, with the best price/quality ratio ?

Thanks

Matt

A patchbay would solve the problem of having to switch the cables from your synths into the MPC, but you would then need to patch whichever synth you wanted to use to the input of the MPC (check YouTube for info on patchbays).

Your best bet would be to get a mixing desk so you can connect the MPC outputs and outputs from all of your synths into the desk. There's a lot of them available depending on your budget and requirements so worth checking eBay.

Cheers

Audio interface with enough inputs/outputs/midi ports for all of your gear.

If you find one you like out of budget, keep saving.

Some audio interfaces can patch their ports to other ports (patchbay).
Those tend to be sorta expensive when features like that come into play.
