Is my MP cursed?

Bizarre issues with the pads on my 2500 - when I press a pad, multiple pads play.
Now when this first happened I assumed it was just the pad sensors or some hardware that needed replaced, but it mysteriously starts working here and there, it’s not a consistent issue. Sometimes it will work perfectly fine for hours, even days, then it bugs out again. Sometimes a simple restart fixes it. Sometimes it doesn’t work for days. But it’s completely random when it works and when it doesn’t. Could this be a software issue?

Sounds like hardware issue.

I would suspect that the ribbon cable going to the pad sensor sheet is pinched or came partially disconnected or needs to be reseated. Other possibility is the pad sheet is very dirty or traces are scratched.

Carefully take it apart and inspect and clean.
