I know, the 2500 has chop shop witch automaticlly chops and assigns samples to the pads, but is there still zoning so i can manually chop?
Yes, but its not called zoning in the MPC 2500.
It is still Chop Shop. Chop Shop has two modes: Auto and Equally. The Equally mode wiill chop your sample into 2 to 64 equal regions. You can adjust the start/end points for each region of the sample as you see fit.
